Horsehead nebula

You wouldn't know it from looking up at the night sky from a light-polluted city or burb, but the heavens teem with mind-boggling celestial wonders. With a telescope as its lens, the camera captures colors and details that the human eye simply can't.

In this gallery I showcase the celestial wonders that I’ve had the good fortune to photograph — so far. With "billions and billions" out there, I'm just gettin' started! I'll be adding new images and blog entries as often as I can, so check back soon to see what's new.

Monitor Calibration Bar
For optimum display of the images on this site, you should clearly see 17 equal-sized grayscale blocks in the above bar, from black on the left to white on the right. If this is not the case, adjust the brightness and contrast settings on your monitor until each block is distinctly visible. If the blocks have any color tint, you should adjust your monitor's color settings.
